Worlds Apart
Hey yoz everyone...Happy New Year to all of you!!!!Sure hope that all of you are happily relaxing now ah..and for those who are unfortunately still working,i also sure hope that work will finish soon for ya :)
Wonder why my post title is Worlds Apart today??hahaha cos i was watching this show named Worlds Apart on AXN and it was freaking hilarious...i guess the well to do or middle class family from country X meeting less well to do and rural family from country Y scenario will never be milked dry ehh.
The premise of the show is this.An american family(usually either 100% city dwellers or those who have never suffered before in their life) is picked to go visit another family(usually a family from the rural areas from another country) The countries that i have seen before are places such as Inner Mongolia and Peru(this morning)
Hahaha the Inner Mongolia one still wasn't so funny because well living in the middle of a plains with no other sign of civilization is still quite nice...haha although i kept seeing the faces of that particular american family and they were very anguished upon alighting at the Mongol Yurt where their hosts lived.The Peruvian episode was funny(and actually freaky) because the introduction scene alternated between the american family and the peruvian family.Actually the peruvians were genuinely very happy at the chance of hosting the american family and whoa the hostess was showing the camera crew their home first...and whoa i got glimpses of them bbqing GUINEA PIGS!!!yapz....guinea pigs are a delicacy in Peru it seems???and there's this one scene that takes the cake(i dunno whether it was a scripted scene or not..it does seem so). The peruvian hostess was showing the cameraman one few pitchers and then she says," That's my pee..." and i thought ohhh they store their pee for use as fertilizing....den suddenly she says," family use my pee to wash hair" and i went WTH??!!! wahh hahahha i really laughed at that instant..but of course also thought of how lucky we are man..clean water and no washing in our own peeeee.
Its 2006 tomorrow already...where are all of you going to countdown at??Most prob i guess i would be at home during the stroke of midnight...hurray for everyone else outside :)
Today's mood music is Candy Lo's 露 西. This song is actually quite nice people..i highly recommend it..there's a mandarin version as opposed to this cantonese version :) Try it out at the karaoke places.

Candy Lo has a great voice and i still think she looks great :) Hope she comes out with even more nice songs.
Now currently am reading Sahara by Clive Cussler and amazingly..it is turning out to be quite a nice read..mebbe i should read the entire Dirk Pitt series hahaha.Maybe i would go rent the dvd for Sahara too..there's Steve Zahn and Matthew C,plus Penelope Cruz inside ;)
