Let us pray....
Heyhozz everyone...how's everyone been since my last post??Have the savageries of sickness gone away from those who had been afflicted???
Din post for almost a week and boy a lot of things have happened already.First up...which is in my opinion most important of all..is that Pope John Paul II passed away during the wee hours of the night at 3.37am.Let us all say a prayer in our own way for this man who was an big advocate of peace.Religion knows no boundaries when someone who has done a lot for other people goes on to a better world. His last words were that he was very happy and he wanted all devotees or rather all people to be happy also.I dare say that the world would not find a better Pope at least not in the future 10 years i believe.Where would the Vatican be able to find someone as charismatic and full of love as Pope John Paul??I do hope that his successor would try his best to follow up on what a huge legacy Pope John Paul has left behind.Let us pray.......................
I seem to be talking about deaths a lot eh..cos the next thing i am gonna talk about would be another death. This death is a bit peculiar..not in the case of the deceased but because of one special individual mourner.Last year,in Taiwan, there was a case of an old man who had been rearing a monkey as a pet and he came to look upon the monkey as his own grandchild..and likewise the monkey really was very intimate with him also.Too bad..good times were not long and after 558 days of being together, someone snitched on them and the authorities came to bring the monkey(named Niu Niu) to a zoo..this case was actually fought in the court but old Mr Lee lost the case.Below is the pic and the news link
TVBS News
Mr Lee passed away last week and Niu Niu was allowed to come out of the zoo and travel to Mr Lee's funeral. The family members had even wanted to put Niu Niu's name among the obituaries as one of the grandchildren but the family elders decided that it was not possible.Mr Lee had been not feeling well ever since Niu Niu was taken away and eventually culminated in his death last week.Let us also pray for Mr Lee and that in the future, Niu Niu would be able to be reconciliated with Mr Lee in the netherworld.
Another news worthy of mentioning(well at least to me) was the death of Taiwanese director Wu Nian Zhen's sister, who committed suicide by burning coal and died of suffocation.Mr Wu's younger brother had committed suicide in the same manner a few years back, whereaa Mr Wu's father had also passed away within the same time period. My condolences to Mr Wu who has won accolades in the film industry but who doesn't seem to have the same kind of positive energies in his family.Hope that he pulls thru the sad event and that the media do not draw too much attention to his family. At the moment he is filming a short film which acts as an advertisement for a government body in Taiwan,it stars Lin Zhi Ling.
Lotsa sad news galore..the sentence has been passed on the man who robbed or rather you can say attempted to rob the Maybank branch. He has been given 4 and a half years of sentence in jail....does everybody feel that that is a fair judgement??Ok i know that he did try to rob a bank, but i feel that more consideration should have been given by the judge on the case due to a few things. One thing was that the guy went in with a toy gun and who would really expect him to be really able to come out unscathed in that manner??True enough he was shot in the head and now he is blinded(not sure one eye or both but at least one eye).Another thing was that he was penniless and wanted to find money for his family..yes i do not condone the act of stealing or robbing to get money for the family but 4 and a half years of jail sentence for a guy who is the sole breadwinner of the family? The judge could have given him parole or something considering all the facts of the case? Not every case has to be straight by the book...I sure hope that outside of the court, help is given to the man while he is in jail and also to his family too.
Sorry people for harping on and on about sad things, but its just that i wanted to let all of this thoughts out of my head.Well there are good news also i guess. There's one Tsui Hark movie coming up that i would be interested to watch..haha everybody remember Tsui Hark of Once Upon A Time China? His new movie would be Seven Swords, which is an adaptation of 梁羽生's 七剑下天山.梁羽生 is the author of The White Haired Demoness and so you can imagine how nice the show should be :)
I managed to watch Old Boy and BOY!!!!It was such a twist and turn plus a lot of gory scenes....eeee....but it was a well filmed movie..no wonder it won best foreign film at the HK Film Awards.for those who want to watch a show with a different genre,go rent the VCD...but be warned of some gory scenes.Another two shows i watched were Survive Style 5+ and Swing Girls...two excellent Japanese movies.Esp for Survive Style 5+, the settings are so surrealistic and excellent..plus the soundtrack was awesome..haha a highly recommended show by me..somemore it has good acting from an actor i like, Tadanobu Asano, whose past credits include Last Life In The Universe,Taste of Tea and also Zatoichi.I recommend his shows also :)
Next week's gonna be the exams already...everybody ready??haha and for other friends their exams would be within the month also so GANBATE EVERYONE!!!!!(did i spell correctly?)The weather is still a bit wobbly..hope it settles down and at least would be more comfortable..meaning not so hot and not too rainy :)
Okaiz..i shall stop here for now..haha everybody must have been bored of my ranting by now.Tudeloo...do take care everyone :)
