Heyhoz everyone!

I have sure neglected my blog....one of my readers ( you know who you are) recently just told me that I have not updated my blog for god knows how long and so here I am updating my blog again. Maybe I should pop up with random stuff more often, let's see..... Yes! haha i should update my relationship status as being attached, not that people around me do not know but it would be the first time I am saying this out in the blogosphere I believe?

Above is a pic of my gf Tina and me together with my cousin Regina during CNY.

Its the Year of the Tiger and I was told it was supposed to be the Widow's Year where its not advisable to get married, yet I have friends who are/have gotten married in this year. I myself would have chosen to get married also sometime right now even, I guess wedding bells will have to toll till I fix a date again.

Oh yes and another update I would be glad to share with everyone would be that I finally finished school at SIM-RMIT! It was actually much more travelling than to Informatics at Jurong, but yet it seems faster in a way.

December - Month of weddings~~

Heyhoz everyone!

Joshy is back with an update again :) Yeapz tis the season to be jolly~~~ weddings galore this month, it is joy upon joy for a lot of people.

Kickstarted my first wedding of the month by going to my BMT friend Mike's wedding at Mariott Hotel on Sunday. I still can't believe its been 7 years since our BMT already , time really flies. Below is the pic i took with the good looking couple :)

After that i went to sing at Partyworld Liang Court to while some time before Grandma's birthday dinner at Peach Garden. Managed to sing Jay Chou's Gei Wo Yi Shou Ge De Shi Jian a few times.

The dinner at Peach Garden was quite ok , the peking duck was good albeit very small portion. But in the end we had extra servings of food because two empty seats at my table.

And look what came for NSPAM while i was writing this blog, look at the following pics.

A log cake from ATS' big boss :) haha and the maam at the mailroom thought the young lady who sent the cake over was my girlfriend! hahahahaha very funny right?

Another pic i took on Friday was of the fried chicken from Jolly V that i finally got to eat :) and it was the last plate of anything for the day! they have last order at 8.25pm.

Succulent fried chicken hmmmmmm yum yum.

I had been following this anime/dorama called Nodame Cantabile and it brought nice sensation to me because the music inside was really captivating. It helped also that the characters were amusing :) Because of one character inside, i decided to buy a phone strap of it.

In the end the phone strap is bigger than my phone! But i still like the Nodame Mongoose, so i will put it at my office table :)

BTK!

Heyhoz everyone,

After the 'death' posts i decided there should be a lighter tone in this post. Lookie at the title! BTK and it stands for Boon Tong Kee. Its like that cos i went to have lunch with my mates at NSPAM at the BTK branch at Macpherson yesterday.

Turned out to be quite a nice meal , complete with soup and meat :) wish the chicken was more though. Didn't take any pictures of the food! haha but i took a picture of a pen i took from there, who would have though BTK has complimentary pens?

And i was looking around for a picture i saw on a forum a few months back. It was the scene of a Race Queen contest held at Kallang. Do give your views on the contestant in the pic and those in the background. Race Queens? or Drag Queen?

So after viewing the picture, what do you guys think? I really applaud her courage though lar, i always recommend people to have confidence in themselves and do the stuff they want to do, at least they can proudly say i tried, did you?

I came across this cute mascot when i was searching for my friend's hometown of Saitama, its so cute!

Its name is Kobaton, cute or not? Should we have mascots for our GRCs?

I am repeating this song today by Jay Chou , Shuo Hao De Xing Fu Ne, i like the song :) I guess every one of his albums there will be one that is dear to me.

Condolences to all victims' families in the Mumbai disaster

Heyhoz everyone!

Previous entry was dealing with death of an entertainer, now this entry also dealing with death, on a much larger scale.

I would like to say my condolences to the victims' families of the Mumbai terrorist attack. This was really a surprise to me when i read the news a few days ago about terrorists attacking different spots at Mumbai. So much carnage in a bustling metropolitan city, it really makes me sad that the terrorists would do such a thing. Not that this is a new thing as a lot of terrorist activities have been carried out especially during the last decade or so.

I guess now they should be trying to find out who is the mastermind behind this horrendous event. The people who did this were mere 20+ year olds, many of whom were younger than me. How ever did they manage to plan all of this and be equipped with so much weapons?

Here's an appropriate song i thought of when this happened, i hope we can be like this song.

Where is the love by Black Eyed Peas. I hope that peace prevails instead of all this killin... rest in peace victims.

RIP Bernie Mac

Heyhoz everyone!

Sombre title for today, only today have i realised that Mr Bernie Mac, the comedian who has acted in a lot of good shows had already passed away on August 9th. That means Madagascar 2 would be one of the last shows that he starred in. I sure as hell will be going to watch that movie man, would be the last time i hear his voice in a new movie :( , that plus Soul Men which also is starring him. It also means that if there was another Ocean's sequel, there wouldn't be his character in it.

Let us say a prayer for him in our own way, hope he is having fun wherever he is at.

Hornbills!

Heyhoz everyone!

Its meeeeeee back again :) I've started school at SIM already and am doing group project already. Time sure flies and i am now been at NSPAM for one year plus already. Gonna be anniversary of go-live date in two months time.

I've been meaning to post this pic but never got down to it, here's a picture of two hornbills i saw at Changi Village. Hornbills! I mean i've only seen these birds at jurong bird park(of which i have not been to ever since primary school!) Its quite cool to see exotic birds out in the open :) Too bad my camera for handphone sucks :(

How has everyone been? Economy is really very bad right now, and job market is so sluggish. I do wish all my friends who are looking for a job now all the best in their job hunt!

Just ate a J.Co donut and am raring for more!

Omnia for me

Hi everyone,

I haven't blogged in a long while eh? Here i am back again! Haha this post will be specially for entering into the Samsung Omnia contest but i definitely won't just blog about it because i'm supposed to be free to blog about anything! :)

Ever since my Nokia N80 got lost last year, i have felt that there has been a bit of a void because that phone enabled to be more connected even while on the go and without having to carry a big laptop. I could snap pictures anywhere and the pictures would be clear(it has flash while my current phone does not at all).

So many things have happened since my last entry and lo and behold, its the closing ceremony of the Olympics today! Time really flies by and it is actually also my one year in Accenture already. I am actually also moving office at the same time while blogging haha , so much things indeed!

I guess this entry should open the floodgates for me haha, will blog more next time then. :) Peace be to all!

Hi there readers!!

How are you all? Its ironic but i am actually blogging at work and yesh on a Saturday no less. The title of my post for today is 献世. These two words actually have a direct meaning in Cantonese and it means 丢人现眼. It is also the title of a song sung by Jordan Chan. Its quite a nice song and has good feeling to it. I mean, i myself even feel like crying when i sing the song because i just get into how the lyrics feel.

So how is the weekend going for all of you? I also wonder what i would be doing later, i personally would want to go swim and sing, haha a weird combination right? But i don't think any of my friends would wanna do any of those stuff... singing cos its too expensive and swimming i guess most friends weekend should be spending with loved ones :)

I read that Mugabe is refusing to give up control of Zimbabwe and even is going to lengths by ransacking the homes of opposition leaders. He is really someone who doesn't care about the well being of his fellow countrymen. I do hope that the opposition prevails thru his election rigging, this kind of thing is what corrupts politicians and causes the plights of the citizens to be very bad.

Leslie Cheung's Death Anniversary

Heyhoz everyone!

How's everyone been? It has been quite a clear rubbish dump recently eh? I just didn't have the drive to write anything inside here despite having a lot of pictures to upload. I guess I would slowly gather the steam to do so then.

Yesterday was the 1st of April 2008. Besides being April Fools Day, it is also the 5th year since Leslie Cheung's death. His fans still continue the tradition of keeping vigil for him and goshh i miss his acting and singing too. There were so many shows of his that i liked, Jin Zhi Yu Ye, Dong Cheng Xi Jiu, Qian Nu You Yun and Da Fu Zhi Jia just to name a few.

How did April Fools Day turn out for you all? Did anybody get tricked or made fun of? The only trick i got hit by was clicking on a link that said " Proof that Cecilia Cheung's son is not Nicholas Tse's!" haha it turned out to be a website that 'laughed' at me lol.

Both Malaysia and Taiwan finished big elections recently, so did you guys have anybody or any party that you favoured? For Malaysia i got to say kudos to the opposition coalition that won quite a fair bit of seats, that is democracy for you.

For Taiwan, i guess the people of Taiwan have endured ineptness in the ruling party for too long and i hope that things will only get better for them. Its the least they deserve after toiling for so long. I hope that they do not lose their indentity in the event that they get some kind of union with the PRC.

Speaking about Taiwan, i am sure a lot of you guys have heard of Aska Yang? He has really a very good voice and so the lyric of the day would be from his song Yang Cong (Onion) .

Heyhoz everyone!!!

I did not post at all for so long eh???Call it the post-losing my N80-syndrome... i didn't have any device to capture images or rather did not have a good image capturing device(my 2630 is sucky when it comes to taking pics) and that led to me not wanting to post anything at all. Well haha actually i should just have gone back to basics and posted normal stuff eh?? :)

Haha here I am typing my entry on my birthday!! Feels nice to be typing stuff again and 'chatting' with my readers. sorry to you who frequent my website yeahh, i have been gone for too long. Pics pics will be posted :)

Year end soon~~

Heyhoz and aloha everyone, gosh its been a while since my last update hasn't it? Didn't really feel like updating these past few weeks because i lost my Nokia N80 and thus updating of pics was totally impossible :( due to the fact that i do not have a digicam myself.

I decided to write again today to say my condolences to Mdm Benazir Bhutto, ex prime minister of Pakistan. She was assasinated by a suicide bomber and what a cowardly thing to do just to stop her from contesting in the elections. Why do such things have to be settled by violence? Their religion teaches them to be humane and peaceful right?Even if there was no religion involved, the most basic feeling a human being should have would be to cherish life itself, no matter it is with regards to oneself's life or other people's life. Genocide in Darfur and Rwanda, suicide bombing in Pakistan... i really wonder what the people in those places are doing with precious lives at stake.

Let us all have a moment's silence to say a prayer not just for her but all those who have perished in acts of cowardice like these. A prayer in our own way hopefully lets the poor souls go in peace.

Shall not say too much for now, let this post be that of remembrance and condolences. Shall write again soon.

how's everyone??haha the week passed on ok for me indeed. Had lots of activities.. well i felt there were a lot of activities larrrr.

Lemme see Wednesday there was Wee Keong's farewell lunch buffet at Lion City Hotel's Happy Restaurant.haha a lot of people were questioning why its called Happy Restaurant.... so the meals taken there should be named Happy Meals?hahaha lame me again.

After the meal i went off to interview at Fu Lu Shou... gonna be a geomancer... haha like real i would... i don't possess the required skill sets :) At night it was off to Meiling's mom's bbq... was a good thing cos managed to meet up with primary school mates. and i managed to see Cayden! i think his name is actually spelt this way haha.

And yesterday i went to sing in the afternoon with Meiling, Linda and Weilun :) quite nice larrr long time din sing with Meiling liao especially. after this i went to watch Enchanted with Manaf(plus his gf), Weida and Zixin . Its a great show!!! i love Disney movies mah haha.

Heyhozz everyone :)

How did the weekend go for all of you? It was quite ok for me ahhh,no OT and managed to stay at home a bit lohh. On Friday i went to Tung Lok restaurant at Paramount Hotel to eat with the gang, haha pics i will post up when i manage to get the pics :) the food variety not a lot larr but i still managed to enjoy my scallops in XO sauce.. guess the others wun wanna try this buffet again so i dun think i have much chance to eat that in the future unless i order myself ahh.oh yahhh must thank ah mei for the meal ahhh, her bday coming soon also sia.

Went to Hougang Plaza to go sing this afternoon and haha i sang a few songs quite many times ahhh... Shi Fei Ti by Fan Wei Qi, Niu Zai Hen Mang by Jay Chou and Xiao Qing Ge by Soda Green. The Soda Green song i sang a record 6 times leh haha... i was at there from 1.30 till 7 hahaha. In fact the song i am posting today will be Xiao Qing Ge, its quite catchy lehh.

Allo allo everyone :) Its me again hehe i just got back from watching a movie and the title of the movie is Stardust. Quite a nice and entertaining movie indeed, I've always loved fairy tales. I still remember i always liked to borrow fairy tales from the library.. books such as The Green Book of Giants, The Red Book of Enchantments and books with titles like that. Its these kind of books that actually helped me imagine more and be able to have a more fulfilling childhood because my childhood was usually spent at home due to the fact that my parents had to work and i could only stay at home.

I guess that was one of the reasons why I developed a liking for reading and I still love to read up till this day and I believe even until I die I will still like to read. Does any of you have any Enid Blyton books to lend to me? :) I miss reading Dame Blyton's books regarding Mr Pinkwhistle, The Faraway Tree and the Wishing Chair... do tell me if you have any of those books yeah??

The weekend is over again so soon, its just as if the weekend was not here at all, whew sure hope the coming week would not be a tiring one at all. Gonna have to go see the doc for the corn on my foot... I didn't manage to see the doc at all just now cos i went down too late, the doctor closed at 12.30pm today.

Hiii everyone!!! how has the past few weeks been for you guys?? Whew this rubbish dude here has been very sleepy recently, i can even fall asleep at work siaa.. this is very bad. But luckily i don't seem to be getting sick!

The title is as such because Jay Chou is coming for a concert in January and the sad thing is I didn't manage to get any tix for the two shows!! the sistic website was like shit lorr...i could buy already and then the website dunno why dun let me buy. What i feel sick about is the fact that a lot of people buy the tix not to watch but to sell it at a much higher price.. that is really depriving other people of an equal opportunity to watch the concert :( yeahh sour grapes from me but i still feel its sicko lor... for me already like this liao, the other fans who are students how??

So its Deepavali on Thursday.. which is right now, i hereby wish all Hindu friends a very happy deepavali :)

Gotta go back to work after helping my dad and then go meet Xin Ye,Sze , Edwin and also Da Ge lol :) Da Ge is feeling unwell sia, sure hope he gets well by dinner time.

I tried using Audacity to strip a mp3 of its audio and then i used Audacity to record my voice onto the music.. it works quite well!!

Loads of random stuff from me yeah??I think i am going to change my blogskin real soon.. i am using the current blogskin for quite a while already.. haven't really tried to find any recently... think i will go find something very nice... haha nice to me at least.

Shockingly disgusting and saddening.

Hi there everyone, starting on a more sombre mood for today because the title of the post was exactly how i felt when i saw the news this morning. There was a bomb blast in Karachi, Pakistan on the 18th... i didn't even know this happened until i had the time to watch the news on Zhong Tian news channel this morning.

Apparently, it was the job of one or two suicide bombers... and i just don't get it why they would resort to this kind of thing... extreme fanaticism or blind faith to their leader or whoever masterminded their move... But i wonder how they would be able to stand up in their God's glory after they had killed a lot of innocent civilians who were also their fellow countrymen....I mean suicide bombing is not the only way to settle matters... furthermore it only causes more tension and more possible deaths.

Let's all say a small prayer for those who have perished in our own way. The situation in Darfur also seems quite bad...genocide seems like the order of the day when rebellions happen... imagine countrymen killing their own countrymen... it sucks i tell u it sucks!!

How are you ah??First i wanna wish my muslim friends a Selamat Hari Raya :) its kind of a long weekend ahh.. sure hope all of them have lots of fun hehe.

Me just got back from the stall and here I am writing a post already hehe.. wanted to write a post before i fall asleep ahh.

Two of the temps, Adrian and Marlon finished their stint on friday already and wun see them from next week onwards. Jenni and Peishan also finish on wednesday ahh. Hopefully i be able to finish up on my module slides and the new BW slides. I wanted to finish up my mod slides on friday and saturday but still din manage to :( hope monday can finish.

Temps galore~~~

Heyhozz everybody :)

Its your friendly neighbourhood Joshy back again with more scoops of rubbish :) How was the weekend for you all?? Gosh my limbs are aching all over from playing a small bit of badminton yesterday. It was good fun though... sweating it out is very good stuff...i miss sweating out playing soccer on the basketball court though... funny as it may seem, its one of the things i miss a lot of on the weekends. I used to play soccer at the basketball court EVERY Sunday and i never get bored of it at all.

Today Weida wanted to take pics with the temps because some of them are leaving at the end of the week. The below pics were taken with Jenni's hp so mebbe might not be that clear... i guess must wait till Yiling gets his pics online then can see clearer ones :)

haha i look the oldest don't I? i am the oldest anyway lol.

It was raining when i got off from work, whew it just rains all of a sudden these days. Taiwan got one place kena landslide because of the typhoon that went thru.. quite sad stuff.

Tomorrow Sze Kiat and Zixin will be enlisted liao... all the best guys!!!! i will be at HTA on 29th i think... for a few days in fact haha.

First week without the original temps.

Heyhozz everybody!!

How has the week been for everybody??Mine was still quite ok worr :) As you all can see from the title of my post today, the original temps at my workplace, Sze Kiat and Zixin have left liao cos they would be serving their NS with SPF starting next week. They have been real good colleagues at work both in work and play. They are much younger than me but much more capable and i learnt quite a bit from them, especially excel skills. Haha their banter would be sorely missed i am sure because its quite strange working without their laughter now haha.

Luckily i've got additional company cos i have a new colleague who is also doing technical writing(Weida) and quite a few colleagues who are temps that are doing data verification.. i think i know all of their names cept one i think.. forgot to ask his name. Their names are not in any order, Manaf,Marlon,Peishan,Jennifer,Yiling,Gregory and Jenn. Haha i am older than all of them siaa.. esp Marlon... i am 10 years older than him.. haha a decade lehhh. hence i am nicknamed uncle again :)

All of them quite bubbly larrr but still different from Sze Kiat and Zixin i guess cos they are my seniors mah haha.

Me and Weida managed to meet the two of them for dinner at Yuki Yaki, my first time there! it turned out to be quite good ah.. with the free flow of drinks and the good barbeque :) too bad i forgot to take any pictures at all..i did manage to take a picture of us temps last friday during Sze Kiat and Zixin's last day at work.

Woahh yesterday was my latest stay at work, but it was still ok cos i was doing payment stuff with Junming, think monday will do late also, that is if parallel run takes a long time lohh.

The Myanmar situation still looks quite bleak... Mdm Aung San is a brave woman and i sure hope the conscience of the Burmese army personnel pricks them.. do they have no pity for the plight of their fellow citizens?Let's all pray for the safety of the people in Myanmar and also in the countries where despots rule..

Ohh just as i am typing this email, i got something to translate... whew legal documents.. haha think i have to quickly brush up on my legal knowledge.

Eighteen Chefs - Quite a good makan place.

Heyhoz everybody!!! :) i am back with a post!

Look at the title of my posting, i am sure at least 50% of my readers have heard of the place before right??Well i googled for Eighteen Chefs and there have been quite a few people blogging about the place and the food there already. Here i am to add my piece :)

Yesterday after work i wanted to go home via number 9(i was at Simei because i got off the mrt at Simei station). The bus was too crowded and drove off so instead of waiting for the bus, i decided to look for some grub at Eastpoint. I remembered walking past Eighteen Chefs lots of times last week when i was at Eastpoint and so i decided to patronise the place.

First thing when i entered, the easy music that was on was instantaneously soothing and i quickly found a place to sit down. My hands went for the menu and wow there was quite a lot of stuff i would have loved to try out. Stuff such as baked rice(you can choose one sauce and your choice of ingredients for the dish, i am soooo gonna try scallops next time). In the end i chose the 3 cheese omelette that I had been eyeing since last week. I added another 4.90 i think for a soft drink,soup of the day,garlic bread and one scoop of ice cream!

I thoroughly enjoyed the food... soup was nice to drink(it was mushroom soup by the way), garlic bread was crunchy, omelette came with fries somemore and the cheese was. what can i say, cheesy? :)

One dish i noticed that I am definitely dragging my friends along to eat next time is the Cheese Baked Red Chilli Crab. The head chef cum owner Benny goes personally to buy the crabs every Wednesday morning - the dish has to be ordered in advance every Monday and Tuesday of the week and its only sold on Wednesdays haha which is today... guess i shall eat it next time.

I didn't take any pictures but go no further than Mr Leslie Tay's website, this post of his captures a very beautiful and yummy picture of one of Eighteen Chefs' dishes. His blog was one of the sites that i managed to google from the key words Eighteen Chefs. It looks great doesn't it?

And it turns out its quite creepy because apparently tomorrow on Sept 20th, it would be Zhou Xuan's 50th death anniversary and here i was suddenly having this song pop into my mind.

For the uninitiated, Ms Zhou Xuan was a famous singer/actress from China and she was most famous throughout the 1940s. Just imagine, her nickname was Golden Voice, so you can imagine how nice she sounds. Sadly though, she passed away at the considerably young age of 39 - and inside a mental asylum of all places :( . Her premature death reminds me of another great singer , Teresa Teng.

Random fact out from Wikipedia, Colin McRae of WRC fame, has passed away in a helicopter accident. May he rest in peace.

2nd week of temping

Heyhozz everybody :)

Sorry for being away for so long again. Not that I have been away or anything but just didn't manage to update my blog. I guess a lot of you have grown tired of clicking my blog and not being able to see any updates eh?? hehe i really got to try and be more consistent in my updating even if its just to comment on something.

Well as the title of this post implies, i just finished my 2nd week of work as a temp. Currently i am working for Accenture as a temp technical writer and i'm working at HQ SCDF. I don't really write anything i guess, what i've done so far is do testing for the software the people are developing and doing some powerpoint slides for the user manuals.

I'm lucky that I manage to have nice colleagues so my time there isn't that bad. The only bad thing is i that i got to wear long sleeved shirts everyday haha... well i guess for work there's no choice?

Loads of stuff happening all around us, Senor Pavarotti passed away this past week, may he RIP. I don't know the difference between a tenor or counter-tenor but i do know that he is a very nice and friendly person. I mean, look at the smile on that guy's face man... he looks so jovial. And yeapz i have heard his voice before and its really powerful and very mesmerizing. The 3 Tenors of which he was a part of will never be the same without him.

A lot of blogs must be talking about the dude who smuggled out his SAR21 rifle and its quite sad that his future will be quite smudged after this incident. This led me to think about an underlying problem which i feel might be starting to grow bigger and bigger in not just Singapore but across the world. The CPL who smuggled the rifle was deemed to have been suffering from depression and depression is one of the illnesses that is striking a category of people who may not have suffered from it for the last 2 decades or so - and that is our young. Although the dude is already 20 and may not be considered as young, the age group i see depression happening most is in from the age of 10 till 18. I think this is the period where education is suffocating a lot of children. Yes, i know i am spouting this without any evidence, but kids nowadays are really doing a lot more different stuff than they did during my school period.

I may not be the best person to talk about education, given my dismal record in my academic achievements, but i do feel that a lot of life is taken out of the children due to truckloads of school work which i feel do not equate to success or happiness in life. A lot of the subjects in our school curriculum do not add value to the student's life and in some instances causes the student to feel demoralised and useless. Now, the student may excel in other areas other than the subjects provided by the school but due to the exams needed to get promoted to the next level, the student will have to get stuck doing something he/ she doesn't like to in the future..and all this is done with the student also not really getting a lot of time for socialising and learning how to get along in society....

Oops i seem to have gone on like a broken record... shall stop here for now on the above topic.. haha otherwise i may rant on for a long time.Ohh haha actually there is this comedian in america who is very good at ranting and diatribes... his name is Lewis Black. He acted in Accepted, which was quite a good movie too and ironically it is abit related to what i was talking about above.

Well its the weekend right now people, what are you all doing? Reading a good book?Watching a good indie movie?Listening to nice music? How about all of the above one after another??

I read online that there seems to be going to be some sort of gathering at Centrepoint today where people are encouraged to wear black shirts... hmm wonder how that will turn out in the papers tomorrow.

Heyhozz and WOAH!!!!! How's everybody?? Its been so long since i last wrote, i think most of my readers must have stopped reading my blog due to it being inactive eh??

Well nothing much to update but i wanted to blog because i just watched Jay Chou's movie, Secret.
Its quite a sweet movie.. well sweet to me but maybe childish to a lot of you people. There's a lot of saccharine moments in the movie and i like the actress Gui Lun Mei. She has that pixie like look and the parts where she teases Jay are the scenes i like best about the movie. The movie also has nice music, especially the piano pieces and the theme song sung by Jay.

Here are a few pictures of Gui Lun Mei, no choice haha i like her and i wanna share her pictures with you all.

She just has that face of cuteness lar.. and she looks very elegant when playing the piano... well haha playing the piano makes almost anyone look elegant :) Maybe i would be the exception.

Although its now too late but still i gotta wish Singapore a Happy Birthday.... the same to our dear neighbour Malaysia too :) My Malaysian friends who might read this email, greetings and salutations to you also.

I am also planning to watch the movie 881, a movie by Royston Tan about getai singers. Its quite apt to watch it now anyway because the Hungry Ghost Festival has just started. Does anybody out there like to watch getai? I quite like the funny bits done by the experienced hosts. They sure know how to strike up a conversation with the crowd.

Mayday! in June

Ahoy mateyz! Hehe i am back again with a posting :)

I went for the Mayday concert last night and it was a thoroughly fun concert, great atmosphere and Mayday really performed real well.

Also got some videos i took haha, but i think not very clear,but the music is quite clear though :)

As i was saying, the concert began with a bang with fast songs and the middle part was more of songs i was not familiar with but still it was quite nice. The ending part was the best because they sang a lot of songs which i loved, songs such as Ren Shen Hai Hai,Wen Rou and even Xin Zhong Wu Bie Ren. I sang along and jumped along with joy :) haha yet another nice concert that i enjoyed. Saw an acquaintance from my NS unit after the show, haha i went to eat a burger at the food stall outside Max Pavillion cos i didn't manage to have dinner.

Well watching the concert alone was something i didn't do since Yanni's concert during my secondary school days but it was quite a good experience too. Saw lots of things such as excited fans jumping and waving their hands,couples hugging each other closely during the ballads, this lil girl who was even dancing to the beat and loads of people taking pictures of themselves and of Mayday of course :) Haha next year if they do come again i might even pay to go watch again :)

Gonna post lyrics of two songs today...one is formerly sung by Gary Cao Ge and its name is 背叛 while the other song is sung by S.H.E and named 聽袁惟仁彈吉他.

The reason why i am posting the Gary song is cos i heard it on youtube and not sung by Gary but by a contestant from 超级星光大道杨宗纬. 杨宗纬 and another dude on the show named 萧敬腾. I think in the future can look out for these two new singers because they really sing quite well :) Below is the video of 杨宗纬 singing 背叛 together with 萧敬腾 and also the lyrics. Allo Allo people

Sorry for the long hiatus again ahhhh, didn't really have much to write about, haha that's how boring a person I am eh?

Well well coincidentally i think i have blogged about June before and the title is June again :)
So does anyone i know have someone they know who is named June?And i chanced upon a movie named Junebug because i was reading up on Amy Adams who acted in Talladega Nights : The Ballad of Ricky Bobby(i loved Sascha Baron Cohen's accent in the movie, haha he always referred to Ricky Bobby as Reeky Booby). It seems quite a nice movie and i recommend it to you all. Ohh and i didn't know that a Junebug was a beetle and it looks like this

I went to Johor Bahru with Youming and Linda yesterday and boy going there already took almost 2 hours because of the massive jam on the way to Johor along the Causeway. Our late lunch was nice though, we ate at this place near Holiday Plaza and it specialized in Taiwanese porridge, quite a good price for 6 dishes somemore, 60 ringgit worr.

After this we went to this orchid fair at Danga Bay because Youming wanted to get some orchid plants. The flowers looked quite nice even though i don't know how to appreciate them. Here's pictures of them.

After the orchid buying, we went for body massage! The clean kind of course haha massage by auntie one, wahh was damn painful at certain times but relaxing overall :) We finished off by having dinner at the food center near Taman Sentosa lohhh. The jam on the way back was scary though, Youming had to take the Second Link back home.

Like i said, its finally June already, holidays for the school children and i sure do hope they manage to relax ah,its a tad too stressful for a lot of kids nowadays.

A mobless weekend

Heyhoz everyone :) Joshua the blogger here. So how was everybody's weekend?

This weekend was supposed to be the mob manning period for my reservist unit and so i was lucky not to be recalled back for mobilisation. This managed to free me up to do other stuff such as feed my friend's cat and also go celebrate Ling's birthday with my primary school mates.

Haha i seen to be bumping into a lot of babies, this can be evidenced from my seeing Kaden(i think its spelt this way), Ling's cousin. Lookie at the pics of him

Haha the last picture was like in amazement like that ahh. Lun was so happy at being able to play with Kaden and he kept on wanting to with Kaden lol. Kaden's dad arrived a while later and he was carrying Kaden for the rest of the night so Lun had to do without carrying Kaden. Haha the few of us who were around were so glad to see a baby, i teased the rest about quickly marrying and having a baby soon since they had partners liao unlike me. Ohhh and turns out Ling's cousins are also Hai Sing students, gosh Mrs Koh has stepped down as principal of the school already...its really been a long time since i graduated already. Mrs Koh i remember was vice-principal at the time when my finger was dislocated and she was the one who helped me to call the ambulance and attended to me :)

I just managed to rent Show's new serial Zhuan Jiao Yu Shang Ai (转角*遇到爱) and i am gonna watch it. Actually i saw and sang the songs from the show at the karaoke place before i decided that i should go and rent the serial. Hope that its quite nice, i got quite nice reviews from the internet mahh.

Shucks.. issit me or are there really a lot of people falling from flats, dropping onto MRT tracks, drowning or getting knocked by cars? Its really sad lehh... my condolences to the victims and their families ahh..

Interviews and interviews

Heyhoz everyone :) I am back and hehe its not too long a time that i have been away eh?

Currently i am listening to Huang Yida's Na Nu Hai Dui Wo Shuo(That Girl Said To Me)... haha i am quite slow siaa, this song has been out for quite a while already and i only recently heard it on Yes 93.3 lohhh.

Oh yahh haha the title of the posting today is interviews and interviews. Doesn't really mean that i have been to a lot of interviews though, just went for one last week and a writing test yesterday. Gosh the writing test yesterday really reminded me of an exam!!! There were 4 sections and quite some stuff to write. I nearly didn't know how to get to the company in the first place ahhhhhh. Haha i took 14 to Bukit Merah Central and walked towards the place i thought was the company but in the end i had to flag down a taxi to bring me to the correct place :( It turned out to be behind the ZHULIAN company haha... everytime i pass by that company it always reminds me of how Julian my ex lecturer introduced himself the first time he taught me. He introduced himself as Julian aka Zhulian aka Pigface haha.

Month of babies i dub thee April, that's at least cos i attended full month of Joyce's son and also Serephine's 1st birthday :) wheee. Here's the only picture i managed to take of her.

Haha look at how Serephine was looking at me, she just woke up so i guess she looks a bit woozy? or does she look fierce? Still cute nonetheless.

I was blog hopping and managed to bump onto the bloggie of this nice auntie. The blog address is here There was one posting of hers where she was writing about wanting to set up a shop selling Econo-Mee, the post is here. Ahh and i was making a silly comment about selling Beve-wages also, since she has a cute sounding name for her dish. I wanted to have different drinks named after the currencies of different countries, got copyright or not? haha well some ideas of drinks i had were Yen (Sake), US Dollar (Budweiser), UK Pound (Ale). Pretty common drinks eh?I was thinking they could have a twist to them also...mebbe for every drink that is ordered, there would be coasters or serviettes with the currency's likeness printed on them given to the customer?kind of like giving them money haha just that ironically they are paying us to pay them lol.... nowwww haha why does that term sound so familiar???? have i see this happening before?? :) *winks winks*

April Fools' Day!! What a day!!!

Heyhoz everyone!! Its April Fools' Day!! Sure hope everyone did not kena any pranks ahhh.

Today morning was the same for me loh, help out at my dad's stall and then in afternoon i met Meishih,Shusi,Jianping and Meiqing to go over to Joyce's baby's full month celebration.

Guess what people??Something happened while on the trip to Joyce's home. All was fine on the east-west line until we switched over to the north-south line lohh. Whew there was this tattoed dude who was carrying two plastic bags(earlier on when we just got off from the east-west line, he used his plastic bags to knock against my heel,damn pain man) who came to sit down beside me. He talked to me and said a lot of strange things, such as did i laugh at him or talk about him and he warned me not to talk about him or else he will spit at me. GUESS WHAT AGAIN??! HE SPAT AT ME just after that!! Man imagine getting saliva all over your face, gross man. he continued saying bad stuff such as your mother is a pig, you must live in the Zoo and gosh he even took out a knife and threatened me. But the thing is, i did nothing to him ahhh, i think he must be high on drugs or something man.

Luckily i didn't raise an arm on him, or else really not worth it ah. Enough of that liaoz whew, here's pics of Joyce's son Memphis :)

Strange handphone

hehe never imagined that I would be back so fast with a posting eh? But i just had to come here to post pic of something i found from a forum haha. As you can see from the title of the posting, its related to a handphone and look at the picture to see how weird it is.

I was searching around and bumped upon Blood+ and it led me to Chitose Hajime who was the singer of one of the theme songs for the anime and then it led me to Ryuichi Sakamoto, a very talented musician. Finally !!! I update again!!

Heyhoz everyone :)

Sorry for being on hiatus for so long, just didn't manage to get down to the task of typing my blog...after almost one month plus, here i am again haha, sorry to those who clicked on my blog and didn't see anything being updated.

Well i finally uploaded some pics onto my photobucket and i am able to post them over here too.

The following 2 pics are of a sunset i saw when i was in Malaysia during December. it was the top of a hill aka durian plantation and the view was quite nice.

The next two pics are of 2 lil girls i met when i was in Ipoh, the elder girl's name is Yik Mun and her sister's name is Yik Tong. Yik Mun followed us when we went to Cameron Highlands.

So how were the pictures?? The kids are all so cute horr :) I was also cute once mahhh (hears puking in the distance) Haha ok larrr i know i look so uncute now, the difference is very big eh?

I have reading about some stories about some homeless families in the papers and on online forums. I have always thought that these homeless families should have at least been allowed to rent some of the cheap flats, but it turns out that there are some kind of rules that disallow some families to rent and force them to buy(which clearly they have no money with which to do so).

That was sure a random rant from me eh?Ohh yah and since the Renci Charity show had just ended and was considered a success, here's another charitable hospital that deserves our help in whatever way we can.... Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital is its name. Do go and read up about it, it has helped quite a lot of destitute and elderly people already. :)

Managed to catch this song on the advertisements on TV and already i like it... haha and i am actually quite slow to catch up cos its Endless Story sung by Yuna Ito and it came out in 2005 if i am not wrong and it was the one of the songs for Nana, a movie which was adapted from a manga.

Its been such a long absence for me hor??Guess i got lazy with uploading the pictures from indonesia and malaysia that i didn't want to try and blog at all haha. But i guess i will still post them up in the future.

Today's my bday!!!!!!Last year i also blogged on my birthday, guess this will be kind of a tradition for me from now on then.Yesterday went to karaoke at Loyang Point with Kenny,Alvin,Jinwei and Kris...pics will be forthcoming haha... they were not taken on my camera mah.

Heyhoz everyone :)

Its been quite a while since my last update eh?? Lots of things to update ahhhh. Okaiz where should i start??Firstly i was in Indonesia during December 9th until December 12th...that was for attending a wedding, that of Uncle Tonny's daughter(two weddings it turned out to be in the end). Hehe i think got too many pictures... will post in my next post. The indonesian weddings i went to were standing parties!! Haha no tables one, at the most only got chairs for us to sit down and eat after we took some food from the buffet spread. The first wedding was still not too crowded, but Uncle Tonny's daughter's wedding was soooooooooooooo crowded!! when i post the picture i am sure you all can see for yourself..i didn't even dare to go eat ahh.

After Indonesia i went to Malaysia on the 12th with my parents,Grandma, Uncle Sunny, 2nd Aunt, Maria, Priscilla and also dad's friends. We went there on a coach :) Haha halfway on the journey i ate A&W!!!(will post the pic)

Gosh i am in a rush larr haha..will write more next time... most importantly this post is to wish you all HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! May all of you have a good time if you got go countdown eh??

Another wedding weekend!!

Ohh haha must update some pics from the last post first...they were from this ktv we had 2 weeks ago.

Us allll...geez..i have no eyes

Herein continues the wedding weekend for me haha...cos the past Saturday was Lynn Foo aka Siti Mysha's wedding to Papa Smurf aka Mohd Imran.Gosh that means two weddings in two weekends.

Helped dad in the morning and so went there after helping...took a mrt to Yew Tee(it reminds me of reservist!!!) The wedding place was around 10 mins walk from the mrt station and haha luckily got map lar..or else i might have gone lost.Turns out the place is 10 mins from my reservist camp!!!

I reached there around 1+ almost 2 like that i think. Not many people were there at that time and Lynn was still upstairs doing her makeup.No choice had to wait lohhh...and luckily i brought along a novel to read haha.

Here is a video and picture of the entourage arriving and of a dude doing some sort of wedding ritual.Can any malay friend tell me what the ritual is about?A few dudes are dancing a traditional sorta dance and then in the end goes over to the groom and shakes his hand.

I even called Alvin on his phone and managed to let Lynn talk to him using 3g because he was at work and couldn't attend the wedding..hahah finally a positive usage of 3g!!

After the wedding, i rushed over to Parkway Parade's Timezone because Mel's Timezone outlet was having a soft launch. I managed to buy two teddies!!Gosh the bear bear is so huggable...here's a pic of it i took.

I dub thee Timey...haha Timey..what a name for a bear.

And after visiting Mel i went over to Brooklyn's home and he also has managed to setup a wireless network at his home already....cooooolz.Abe called us and told us to go over to Club Momo....well he doesn't ask that often so both of us tagged along. Not before we had dinner at Blk 85 Market...yummmoz...i should have taken pics of the food itself. Abe's poly mates Jacky and Zhongyao also joined us and haha i mistook Club Momo for bein at Mohd Sultan..turns out its near MOM instead, another of Abe's friend Ivy had to drive over to direct us there.

Woahh it was so long since i stepped into a club...and i really felt ah pek siaaa haha.We managed to get a table to sit down at because Abe ordered a bottle of chivas....naww none of that for me, i took some of the green tea only.

Pics we took...not much cos like i said, i dun clubbing often..haha i dunno how to take good pics.

Monsoon Season

Heyhozz everyone :)

Its the cooling and wet season of the year already and its mixed feelings from me towards this season. Haha the good feeling about monsoon season is that it brings me comfort with the rain and the wind that comes. The bad feeling is that it inextricably seems always rain whenever we dudes want to go play soccer!! Haha but we did still manage to play soccer on Sunday larr....its a wish of mine to still play soccer with a full team of my friends and on a field somemore....with referee even better.

was at JB on Saturday afternoon with ah mei and her friend Joseph and i guess the rain was the reason why the woodlands checkpoint wasn't too overly crowded haha, but in the end the JB side the customs check car until very stringent lol so in the end still spend quite a bit of time in the car.But the car ride was worth it because the first thing we ate when we reached there was this nice wantan noodle...the noodle is quite Q Q and the wantan is quite fresh ahh, and the chilli is nice lol....being the pig i am henceforth the rant on food aha.

after JB, we all went to Jinwei's home to play mahjong and haha i was there keeping the score for them, i played a few games larr but i suck at MJ lol.In the end it was Jinwei who won again siaaa, haha i joked that it must be because of the two idols behind him that supported him(that of Guan Di and Maitreiya Buddha)

Sunday afternoon i went to Stirling Road for Azmi's wedding.Guess what???Hahaha his block which was 163 is actually two streets away from Carolyn Jie's niang jia!!! Hahaha so two weddings in the same area within one month plus of each other, how coincidental can that get???? Din manage to take pics of Azmi because i had to rush back to Tampines, guess i gotta leech pics from him when he manages to post them up haha.

After the wedding i went to play soccer with Jinwei, Brooklyn,Alvin and Zhiwei..haha Alv's wife was around also...boy the dudes we played with were really rough...and unfriendly rough at that....rarely see dudes who dun even smile lorrrrr.

Boy i sure am being random in my posting eh??Lyric of the day is by Guang Liang and his song is named Wu Ke Jiu Yao. Quite a nice song and it just shows how a guy feels when falling in love.

Oh my aching head

how has the few weeks been for all of you? Gosh its quite fast that its already half of November already. Hehe you all wonder why my title of the posting is what it is? It happened a few weeks ago on a Sunday when i went to Great World City to watch The Prestige. Hahaha i am a dolt also lar..my friends and i were eating stuff outside of the cinema when i wanted to go to the toilet and i just walked straight from outside trying to go into the cinema and WHAM BAM!!!! i knocked my face straight into the glass panel!!! Hahaha anyone saw that coming? Cos i forgot that there was a door actually and i thought that there was no glass/the door auto slide. Hahaha my face even left a mark on the glass panel. I could see some many people stifling their laughter lorrr, gosh i had to watch The Prestige with a pain in my upper left side of my face ouchhhh. David Bowie acted well as Nicola Tesla though haha..can't imagine that he is actually a singer more than an actor.

GST is gonna be rising up to 7% soon...i guess everyone saw that coming too eh?Hmm one question was raised in parliament and that was the fear of Singapore becoming a bankrupt welfare state. The thing is...were we ever a welfarist state in the first place?

Haha a sudden serious question from me must be strange right?Not that i think a lot of readers to my blog would take me seriously in the first place hahaha.

Noah kor and Carolyn Jie's wedding!!

Ahoy Mateys!!!

Last Sunday was my cousin Noah kor's wedding and it was held at Ritz Carlton, marking the first time i have ever been there...yeapzz first time in my life.

The day started out with me and sis arriving at Noah kor's home at Marine Parade.Had a very filling curry breakfast, yum yum. I was the xiao jiu zi again and i had to go down open the car door for kor haha.

That's me sitting in the living room waiting for orders haha.

This is me downstairs already with the oranges on a platter...gosh i have no neck!!!!!

Haha everyone was hiding in the rooms and kitchen when Carolyn jie first stepped into the house

It was Noah kor's turn next.

It was sure a rowdy morning what with so many people and hehe got two babies in da house....Darlene and Zen, my niece and nephew. Everybody was fussing over the two babies lorrr.And i was talking to Matthew kor also, hehe Caryn jie is preggy too and i am glad for him and her :)

After the stint at marine parade, Samuel kor and I carried the piggy down and were the Hu Zhu Shi Zhe(Protectors of the Pig) all the way to Mei Ling Street, Carolyn jie's niang jia. Wah haha there were so many people over there also already. Too bad i didn't manage to take any pictures at all over there and also of the piggy, what a waste.

Lookie here, hehe this is my dad carrying Darlene during the wedding service at outside the ballroom.

Haha and this was the first time i ever saw belly dancing at a wedding.

Heyloz everyone!! How's the week been for everyone?Although yesh i know its still only Tueday, it sure seems like a long week for me already haha.

Joyce's wedding!!

Heyhozz everyone! Hehe the title is too late lar..Joyce's wedding was last Tuesday the 3rd of October hehe but still i am gonna write about it.

Her wedding was held at Carlton Hotel and i kinda reached there quite early...6.15 in fact when the cocktail itself only starts at 7.00 haha.Well i was just sitting at the bar downstairs sipping on orange juice until 7.00 when the cocktail started. I just went to sit down at a chair by the side because i didn't manage to see anyone whom i recognized. Finally after a while i saw Michelle xiao mei walk past me with Angela jie haha.They didn't recognize me worrr. A while more and Jianping walked by with Shusi..haha at least they managed to recognize me after glancing a bit haha. The next person to arrive was Bingwen and actually he din recognize me even though i went to fervently shake his hands haha. He was wondering who the fat guy that was shaking his hands was.

Haha and you all know that there is a funny story about this picture siaaaa. I showed this picture to my classmate Mingjie, who is in Japan currently and so couldn't attend the wedding. He was happily talking about the different pple in the pic, when he suddenly typed out(cos we were chatting in MSN), Bingxi where are you??And who is that fat dude in the picture?!!Hahahah he didn't realise its me lar. Gosh hehe i think i really went overboard liaoz...so its Operation Look More Like Bingxi from now on?tough work i guesss.

Go Karting last week Hooo~~~~

its your friendly neighborhood Joshy right here againzz.

Looking at the title you should know what i did last week...yeapzz i was at JB and had a go karting session with my primary school mates.

Haha at the track above, i think there is a dead insect because one flying insect collided into me while i was whizzing past the corner, poor insect, something had gonna give.

After the go karting which was shiokz, we went to this place called Jusco where Weilun bought quite a lot of mooncakes.

Next up was durian makan time

ahh look at the meat, lol but i dun eat larrr.

Goreng Pisang which Weilun bought...the chilli sauce was quite nice!!

And my god, look at the amount of eggs used up for the chye tow kway!!

I just came back from a concert, the yellow ribbon concert to be exact.Wow its the 2nd time in a few weeks that i came to Max Pavilion for a concert. Inmates and ex offenders were some of the performers in a nice concert that really brings the people together.

The Yellow Ribbon Project was started to educate people on the need to spread love and trust for our fellow people, even those who have erred deserve a second chance.

Weilun chose this song a few weeks ago when we were singing at Kbox and it is really a good song to spread love.Do listen to it people...

How have you all been??I have finally finished watching my two seasons of House MD, and boy am i satisfied.Season 3 has just started in the US so i guess i got to wait quite a while before getting season 3 on dvd. Haha i think i am starting to talk like the anti social doctor, cept that i am not that anti social.

I watched I Am Sam on channel 5 last Saturday.Boy it was a real tearjerker for me, simplistic and yet it brought a lot of tears to my eyes.Sean Penn, Michelle Pffeifer,Dakota Fanning and the bunch of guys who acted as Sam's friends acted brilliantly tooo. Dakota Fanning is really a very good actress, i sure hope she doesn't grow up to be the bitchy kind of actress that gets churned out oh so much nowadays.

Its quite a sweet song right?Haha i had to go use an online translator to find the romanization for the lyrics lorr..so many websites don't have the lyrics.Thanks to the webbie Ayu recommended, at least i managed to find the Hangul version.

The past Sunday i went to Kbox with Weilun and Meiling at Marine Parade and wow we got a chance to be at the fans gathering for Sweety this coming Saturday...heehee does anybody know who is Sweety in the first place? After the karaoke session we went food hunting, nearly ate at Waraku but in the end too many pple there so we walked along and ate at this taiwanese food joint.Guess what we did after the dinner?we walked allllll the way along the joo chiat road and out from the black pepper crab place before we took a cab home.

Seasoned actor Mr Guan Hai Shan passed away, those of us who remember him do say a prayer for him. Seems like i do this kind of thing quite often eh?I remember him a lot in the TVB dramas that i watched, really like grow up on his shows.

What a packed stadium!

Didya all expect me to write my blog at this time?I guess no one would have expected that from me.Its been two weeks plus since i last wrote already, has it been really that fast??

I have been watching quite a fair bit of medical shows, ranging from Tian Ya Xia Yi, Healing Hands 3, Yi Dao and even House MD...haha strangely though, i didn't manage to watch the medical show that everyone has the hots for, Grey's Anatomy.

Yi Dao is a korean drama and its actually the first show made by the Dae Jang Gum director, although the show is chronologically set after Dae Jang Gum's time.The main character for the show is Hur Jun, a very good doctor who cares for his patients just as Dae Jang Gum did.Haha the funny thing about this show is that after i had watched Dae Jang Gum, its strange to see quite a lot of the actors and actresses from Dae Jang Gum act in different roles in this serial.Take for example the emperor from Dae Jang Gum...he is acting as an official whose rank and position is exactly like that of Min Jung Ho!!!hahaha the Mr Cui is now a good guy and he's real funny too!!so fun...still got worr, the chief eunuch is now a doctor's helper,the empress dowager is now chief medicine lady wahahaa. The theme song for the show is quite catchy and majestic too,i think i should go find it.

House MD is one of the best series i have ever watched, the script is good, and the acting by Hugh Laurie is superb.Haha i saw one phrase typed by a fan before and that was Anti-social doctors rock!!Haha in Gregory House's case, i really think it is true.And i liked a song from one of the episodes, i am gonna post it onto radio blog so you all can hear it too.Its called Baba O'Riley and its sung by The Who.Great song and nice music :)

I had just come back from watching the Singapore Vs China Asian Cup Qualifying match,it ended 0-0 and i think Singapore is out of the race to qualify for the Asian Cup.Kudos to them for trying though.There were a lot of firsts in this match, first time i ever saw visitors being more than home fans...at the grandstand!!!I couldn't get my pics loaded, will show you guys next time. WOah the PRC fans were really very passionate, well we Singaporean fans weren't too far behind also :) It was a long time since i saw a big crowd like this for a Singapore international, i was glad to see the support for Singapore again.We should play against more better teams to improve and get exposure.Ohh haha Aylwin was there also with his gf and gf's bro. and so was his friend, turns out his friend was one of the tiger beer girls there.Tough job for the ladies, a lot of serving to do siaaa.

How are you all??Haha its me back blogging again...i just had to blog lol. The title is like that because i just received a myspace msg from a guy with the title Hii babe, you look cute hahaha.And you all know why??cos my profile pic is of Melissa(Auntie Conny's baby) being held by Vanessa(Reggie's cuzzie) hahaha and i think the guy who msged me thought i was her lol.

Ytd night was Clean and Green Environmental Discourse...i was expecting some heavy stuff but turns out some nice discussion abt stuff...even though class onli consisted of me,sandra and wendy. Guess i gotta go find newsfile soon soon ahhh...anyone got old papers from july till aug??

Ohhh i watched Lady In The Water with Jingle and her brother on Tuesday night and boy...i ENJOYED IT!!!!I guess the critics didn't like this kind of movie....cos i have read all kinds of bad reviews about the movie, from stuff like M Night being a megalomaniac,to the show having no plot,to the show having no depth, and it not being scary of all things. Its supposed to be a fairy tale and doesn't really have to scare people does it?i like how the show is being approached....and i like Paul Giamatti's acting. Gosh i have seen him in American Splendour where he did a superb job portraying Harvey Pekar...and here in Lady In The Water..i could really emphatize with his character, Cleveland Heep. For those of you who still have not watched the show..i do recommend it to you all :) But please go watch with an open mind and do not expect too much of things haha(like that might as well dun watch hor?haha silly me)

Hiii there everyone!! How's the whole week been for you all??

Did you all enjoy National Day??I wasn't around to watch the NDP though, at that moment i was on a Luthansa 747 over to Jakarta already. Went over for Oma's bday celebration and also for a short trip lohhh.

Haha and so farnie you know the beginning,there was my grandma who told me and my Aunt Peggy(with whom i was travelling with) not to eat any chicken becos of the fear of avian flu...and just before we took off, there was our PM Lee talking about the threat of avian flu(we saw his National Day Address on CNA inside the gate)..haha so ominous wasn't it??

Well the flight over to Jakarta was quite smooth and Uncle Tony fetched us just when we got out of the gate...Endru's gf Felicia came with the car to fetch us over to Auntie Conny's home(yapz we were going to stay at Auntie Conny's home instead of a hotel). And it was a real big traffic jam(of which many more i was going to experience for the next few days) we experienced before we managed to reach Auntie Conny's home. and what a house it was!!it was real big lorrr and haha i stupid didn't take any pictures of the exterior. There was going to be a short service for Oma because it was the actual day of her birthday.There were quite a few people present and the service was in Bahasa Indonesia so too bad i didn't manage to understand the words.They were singing hymns and there was this motherly evangelist who was speaking about her experiences too. There.. the pictures of the service are below

After the service, it was makan and i had a fun time eating the chicken cooked in Manado(i think is Manado) style :)

The next day we took off to Bandung, what a car ride it was...we went over to Rumah Strawberi, a strawberry farm at quite a high point on a mountain.

Looks very beautiful doesn't it?Its very cooling also ahh...how i wish the weather in Singapore was like that.

Thursday was SPA DAY!!!!

I didn't manage to take any pics inside the spa,gosh i was so stupid lorr i could have taken pic of the room where the massage took place..very comfy and i felt so clean after the bodyscrub ahh.Haha Singapore i dunno when i can go spa again one lor..so expensive.

That night we had authentic nasi padang,yet i still only ate more of the ayam...haha one of every type,panggang,curry and goreng.

This was the fried rice Oma made for me and Aunt Peggy cos she was worried we would be hungry while on the car(traffic jams can be such a pain in the neck)

Saturday was Oma's bday dinner at Hongkong Jumbo and i only took two pics while at there...i suck at photography.

Ahhhh finally it was Sunday,time flew by so fast lorrrrr. went to Auntie Rika's textile factory in the morning.

Its our nation's National Day soon and i wish all of us a Happy National Day, sure hope that the lives of the people in Singapore would be much more improved in the near future, we all work for a better future for us all.

Amazingly lorr....i borrowed Er Mo Zai Shen Bian from ah mei and i still haben started watching it yet,i think i should start on it real soon. For those of you who dunno, its a show starring Mike He and Rainie Yang, quite a good watch for those who watch Taiwanese dramas haha.

As for me,i still need to go find Sangdoo again!!!I only watched until disc 8 and that cannot suffice lor!!Must finish the show since i started it...haha its just like if Frodo Baggins carries the ring halfway and then he says he wants to stop and then go back home to the Shire-----How can!!??

Yesterday i finally got to see my nephew, Zen Woo. :) i could have seen him on the day he popped out lorr..but i thought my cousin was sleeping and i didn't want to disturb her hehe.

Heyhoz everyone :) I am back with an entry again...really cannot slack in writing siaaaaa

So how are things with all of you??Its almost the end of July already, gosh time really flies and flies doesn't it?

There were a few movies which i watched and quite liked and of the shows,i liked two shows in particular. One movie was The King and the Clown (왕의 남자, Wang ui Namja). It stars Lee Joon Ki,Gam Wu Song and Jeong Jin Yeong. Its about two clowns(or rather minstrels) who get to perform in front of the korean king and the king falls in love with one of them(the one acted by Lee Joon Ki)

The other show which i liked was Nacho Libre....yeshhh its kinda stupid in a lot of ways and it may seem sacrilegious to Christianity, but its a nice show because there is a bit of warmth to it also beneath all the comedy. And it has a great soundtrack to boot..haha here's the lyrics to one of the songs which i utterly DIGG!!!

Did anyone miss me???yesh haha i think i can hear puking sounds from far far away already. Well i did miss all of you...whenever i am writing this on this blog, my mind will get attuned to all my friends and readers :)

So what have you all been doing??I know uni people are having hols right now...working people working...and world cup players onli left some countries still playing hahahah.My beloved England has been knocked out already and although they played not up to par, i was still glad to see them proceed to the next round liaoz lohh. Hii everyone :)

did you all expect me to blog today??well i was pondering on whether to blog or not but i decided to do so.

Da Yu San is hanyu pinyin for Big Umbrella and as with most of my posts, it should be known to most people as the title of a song. This particular song is sung by Lawrence Chau(Zhou Jun Wei) and he's the bf of Mavis Fan. Haha on a side note he is similar to me in one way at least and that is he gained weight since his debut album...i last saw him acting in Dragon Squad mahh.

I chose this song as the title for today because i have got two friends who are not feeling very happy..in fact very unhappy indeed...i do not have much power to help at all and that is indeed a very sucky feeling. I wanted to put more feeling in the song but i guess its feeling enough...i am also praying for things to be put right because i have the faith in things.

Watched until disc 17 of Yurihwa and it gets sadder and sadder,but i am hanging on in watching the show because like i mentioned in earlier posts, i feel connected to the show very much...it is as if i were living inside the show. Didn't expect me again so soon did you all?The title for the blog today is actually the title for the same show that i talked about yesterday...Stained Glass..cept i think that the original name for the show was Glass Flower and Yurihwa should mean just that?Any Korean linguists around??? :)

Heyhozz everyone!!

I am back from reservist!!!Well actually back from reservist since last Saturday but i only now then thought of things to write about mah :)

Whew i think i brought back a sickness from reservist siaa..first started out with the mucus in nose feeling and then difficulty to breathe, followed by sore throat and then incessant coughing right now.Am drinking lots of water to rectify that right now, hmm and i feel quite a few people around me are suffering from the same type of ailment....do hope all of us get well soon ahh.

You guys all wondering why my title is that of Stained Glass?Well its because i starting watching this Korean drama serial named Stained Glass.. and it stars Lee Dong Gun, Kim Ha Neul and Kim Sung Soo.Sheesh i cried a few times already while watching the first 8 cds of the show. Well it adds a lot more feelings to me because quite a bit of the script plus the interaction between the 3 artistes reminds me of stuff..stuff which makes me feel all warm inside.

Gosh did i sound mushy in the previous paragraph?haha i meant it lorr..and the tears when watching the show were real too~~guess it makes watching the show even more enjoyable too.

Missed me??haha i sure missed all of you even though i cannot really see you all or mebbe even know everyone who reads my blog.

Yeahh its been quite a while since i last updated my blog again...not much from my mundane life and my rubbishy head i guess??But its May already and woah its my in camp month again...a few days at Kranji Camp again starting from 16th until 20th... wish me luck guys...but i guess it should be ok lar...and at least there are more people i know already.

Haha Prissy put up pics of babies on her webbie so all the more i should do so also worrr...haha and amazing also because her godma and Jean Long both gave birth on the same day hahah.Mebbe i should let the two get to know each other in the future since one is a boy and the other is a gal :)

Auntie Sylvia's son is named Phillip and Jean's daughter with Baofeng is named Seraphine Chen Ying Xuan..hehe both look quite cute as you all can see below.

Wahhh one month liaoz!!

Heyhozz everyone!! Amazingly its been one month since my last update!!!So sorry for the lack of updating ah!!

I just didn't know what to write about mahhh..but i guess i should just update no matter what...dun let the blog seem dead dead...hehe wait it would seem as if i am dead then never update at all worr.

Well there has been a lot of stuff happening out there but i guess it would be too slow for me to update anything already...oh yeahhh the Playboy thingy in Indonesia.Although Playboy magazine is a risque publication, but i do not think it warrants being subjected to mass crucification by the religious leaders in Indonesia.To a certain extent there freedom of expression and its like if you don't like the book juz boycott it or ignore it,you do not tell your followers to commit acts of vandalism and violence because of the existence of the book. And this was exactly what i heard from one religious leader...he told his followers all to destroy every single Playboy magazine that they see on sight!! What about the newstand and magazine stall owners?Imagine their stalls being destroyed in the name of religion...what would happen to their business?There is nothing more worse than having a mob attack you or your business.

I just do hope that things can be settled amicably and not thru vigilante style.

Whew..sounds heavy eh??I always feel a bit down whenever i hear of violence being perpetrated in this kind of manner.I thought that peaceful methods of settling things should be the manner that religious leaders conducted things?what kind of example would they show to their fellow worshipers?

Heyhozz everyone!! Sorry for the long hiatus..its been a few weeks eh?

So sorry to you all that this is only the first post for March..guess i either didn't have much to write or didn't have the mood to update. Haha but don't worry lar people...no mood to update doesn't mean that i am in bad mood :)

Well new semester has started and woahh a lot of assignments coming my way..sure hope i would be able to make head or tail about my assignments ah haha.

How has the month of March been for all of you?Congrats to Ang Lee(李安). Indeed, his win at the Oscars really brought joy to Chinese all over the world..and that was by taking such a sensitive script and bringing it to life :) Haha i loved the funny bits at the Oscars.. they are as follows as i i cut and paste from this viewer's review lol

The opening number which consisted of previous Oscar hosts turning down the spot of emcee for the evening, was extremely hilarious. You missed out if you didn't see it *haha i especially liked Billy Crystal and Chris Rock's expressions haha*

-Pre-taped segments that poked fun at everything from the Best Actress nominee's names, to accusing Keira Knightley of "acting while beautiful". This was one of the reasons the evening was so fun.

-Ben Stiller in a green bodysuit insisting that no one could see him and stating, ''For the first time in Oscar history, an Academy Award will be presented by no one," while dancing around the stage with a "floating envelope".

-Will Farrell and Steve Carrell presenting the Best Make-Up award while wearing ridiculous make-up that looked like they put it on themselves. And Steve Carrell's fake eyelashes were something I won't soon forget.

Haha all in all quite a good awards show...although i seemed to see quite a few presenters fluff their lines...lots of brokeback jokes running through the show though..haha Mr Clooney had one quip directed at him too.. "Good Night....and Good Luck...that's what Mr Clooney says to all his dates" wahahaha.

Hahaha heyhoz people!!! How's everything??!! Haha in a few moments will be my friend Youming's birthday liaoz...so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HIM!!haha although he wun see my blog but its the thought that counts a lot :)

Haha you all got wonder why the title for the posting today is so strange??Hongkong Palace..haha sounds dodgy doesn't it?It isn't THAT dodgy lar haha...the title is like this because on Monday night while i was MSNing and chatting with friends, my dad suddenly called me and told me to go to Tanjong Pagar to fetch him ahh...well actually the addy is 34A Craig Road,Chinatown Plaza,Hongkong Palace Night Club...haha shun bian advert larr.Its managed by my dad's friend mahh haha that was why he was there in the first place.Hehe before you all think wrongly, my mum was there too!!I think dad was meeting friend there to celebrate something or what lar.Haha come to think of it he was quite poor thing in a way..his friend teased him saying come to night club drink hot MIlo hahaha...so when i reached there liaoz den he finally could open some brandy and mixed it with soda water to drink.There were lots of older uncles and some older aunties haha and some older but good looking ladies but of cos haha i was just sitting down there drinking milo,mineral water and chomping on the snacks. there was a 'live' performance too and well haha some aunties and uncles and even my dad went onto the dance floor to dance a cha cha!!wah seh i shld have taken pics lorrr.Ohh haha and even my mum was toasted by some of the 'mummies' and she drank around 10 glasses of alcohol!!!!!amazing right???Haha it was until 1+ when my mum went to puke then my dad say go back liaoz...so i drove us all back lorr.

What a rant from me right? :) I just had to get that off..haha it was just amazing lar..going into a night club..hahaha my dad's friend even asked me want to ask a ger accompany me or not..haha then my dad tease him saying his side gers tummy bigger than chest(haha i noe..bad of my dad..i guess i resemble him ahh)

Today was a rather slow day for me lorrr....ohh yah yesterday i also went to Informatics to collect my study materials..wahhh i din expect the comm books to be soooooo thick....i felt like a turtle carrying his shell haha.

like i was saying before i was diverted lol today was a slow day..and may i mention...it was damn hot!!!i sweat so much lor..even with fan blowing at moi...i am such a pig.

Happy Full Month To Darlene aka Yu Xin~~~~

Heyhoz everybody!! How did the weekend turn out??Hotz with a bit of rain in between hor???

Yesterday was my niece Darlene's full month as a baby :) Hehe we all were taking turns to carry her...here's me

Haha a lot of people asked me....'Your baby ah?" when they saw the pic in my msn lol...i look like a father hor??

As its still within a few days of Valentine's Day...another love song's lyrics would be posted up...well actually not love song,but not not also haha i dunno what i am saying.The song is 别哭(Don't Cry) and its sung by Mini and 顾儿..it was the theme song for the 梁祝(The Butterfly Lovers) cartoon mah.Its quite a catchy song and its quite sweet too.

I dunno if you all remember the story about The Butterfly Lovers.Its one of the more tragic and endearing love stories i have heard of since young.Its actually a Chinese version of Romeo and Juliet...but i heard about Liang Zhu much much earlier than R&J so it sticks in my mind much much more.

The premise is this...the story starts off with Liang Shan Bo and Zhu Ying Tai going to this school...and schools during that time were mainly for guys(i think) so Zhu Ying Tai actually was there posing as a guy.Of course things happen and they got on very well with each other...the famous cups of water separating the both of them when they slept together was most remembered by me :) haha cos Zhu Ying Tai had her reservations about sleeping with a guy...even if it was just sleeping beside him. By and by...i think Zhu Ying Tai fell in love with Liang Shan Bo!!!But the sad thing is that after 3 years of studying together and bonding well...after Zhu Ying Tai went back to her hometown and Liang Shan Bo visited and saw her in female attire...thus knowing she was female!!he asked for her hand in marriage but she was already engaged to Ma Wen Cai!Sighhh Liang Shan Bo den went back a broken man..he died dunno how long after he became a county magistrate. The story didn't end yet...On the day Zhu was to be married to Ma, whirlwinds

prevented the wedding procession from escorting Zhu beyond Liang's tomb. Zhu left the procession to pay her respects for Liang. Liang's tomb split apart, and Zhu dived into it to join him. A pair of butterflies emerged from the tomb and flew away..sounds amazing eh?But to me it sounds romantic lor...sheesh and you know what?i read about the following MOdern interpretation of the romance.

According to Zhu Dake, a modern Chinese scholar, Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai has been a metaphoric homosexual love story. Zhu Dake argued that Liang and Zhu started their relationship during the three years when Zhu was a de facto transvestite and Liang was oblivious to her real gender. The reason that Liang fell ill was, Zhu Dake explained, not because Zhu was engaged to another man, but because he found that Zhu was actually a woman and not a man. According to this interpretation, he was utterly shocked; his spiritual edifice, which had been built on the same-sex ethos, collapsed all of a sudden. This was more than he could bear and so he died.

However, many Chinese have violent disagreement with this point.

The above can be found from Wikipedia...whew Liang Shan Bo being gay??!!!that would totally destroy the romantic story...boo hooo....

But i guess a lot of historical stories or literature are always disputed by a lot of people..mostly because we all have different perceptions of things mahh.

Heyhozzz everyone!!! How was the love in the air??? *sniffs sniffs the air* wahhh a lot of perfume can still be smelled lingering haha

did everyone have a good Valentine's Day???I sure hope all of you managed to either spend good time with your other halves or else spend good time with friends also quite nice mahh.

I myself stayed at home for most of the day yesterday..only evening like that i went to meet Kenny to eat at nearby his home and then it was XBOX night haha...playing video games is good to while time mahh.When i got home it was back to MSN and haha Weilun,Xiaoyan,Linda and me we were chatting in one window...damn funny lar haha the suaning here and there...like i told Linda...suaning can slim down..lol i sure hope i will slim down with that.

Today there was a strange news on Zhong Tian...actually almost quite funny also lar...there was this dude who was the former colleague of a lady.I dunno how but he managed to sneak into her room and he decided to hide in her bed under the bedsheets.Haha at this moment she was still in the shower..when she came out though, she saw the undeniable shape of a person on her bed mahh so she took a stick i think haha and WHACKED down hard.In the end the dude kena whacked like a pighead and the lady's family called the police..so he suay suay kena hit and brought to police station on Val's Day..what a way to celebrate it eh.Ohh haha in the end he say he will go buy flowers for her still!!!!wahh what a chi qing person siaaaaa.

Hehe since it was Valentine's Day i shall put up the lyrics to 情非得以..hehe if you all remember it it was the theme song to Meteor Garden...and the MTV was quite funny...Stella Huang was starring in the MTV too.

Haha if anyone of you watched the movie 'White Chicks' then you would have laughed so much at the Wayan brothers singing along to this quite catchy song. Its been quite a while since i last heard Vanessa Carlton release an album though...sure hope i do get a chance to hear her new songs :)

Tmr is Valentine's Day already!!All of you got plans already i guess?Happy Valentine's Day to all..single or attached people...no matter what must still enjoy the day one :) either with friends or loved ones..haha just dun go and be dok by the expensive restaurants..very bo hua one i feel.

Haha i had my pri school gathering on last Saturday...although it cannot be termed as a very big scale gathering...at least there were more than 5 people..haha 7 people in fact including moi. Youming,Weilun,Jeanne,Huishan, Meiling and last but not least, the organizer Linda. We went to eat buffet at Seoul Garden MS...haha we were lost as to where Seoul Garden was at lorrr..turns out it was just above the entrance of MS...we went in thru the 1 storey entrance mahh...in the end it was at the 2nd storey entrance wahahaha. The gathering was good because we laughed a lot and talked about a lot of past stuff..haha it just seems neverending one lorrr. Am looking fwd to the next one on 4th of March...mebbe there would be more people already :)

Shall stop here for now :) just wanted to randomly post haha and also celebrate 1000 hits lol..i am still a long way before i reach 10000 lohh..hehe until my next post...sayonara and adieu ;)

Allo Allo people...how's the day going??Yeapzz i am back again for a posting liaoz ahh.

Haha so how did my Angeline posting go?She is a very pretty and sweet lady...makes her a pretty sweet lady eh? :) haha sweet memories lar..cos danced with her during my NPCC farewell night performance for the seniors...lemme see...that's allll the way back in 1993 or 1994 already ahh.I think i stepped on her foot a few times..clumsy me as always lorr...the song was 'In The Still Of The Night' Am sure she will find a nice guy to be with now :)

Haha its not talking about being slim but about being contented i think?haha or did i see the song wrongly??Ah ger sang this song the other time mahh or else i wouldn't have heard it yet one lor very sweet song coming out from ah ger's vocals.

Its nearing the end of CNY already...seems quite fast doesn't it?and it just seems that the festivities are much more different from last time already...lesser visiting eh? I guess its also because we are all much older..haha especially since i am already an uncle...to a very cute niece named Darlene, daughter of Daniel kor and Xuelian jie. :)

What a day!!Serendipity indeed!!

Heyhozz everyone!!!Its the 7th already today....wahhhhhhh(haha wah is for nothing one)

Know what my blog title refers to?and it doesn't refer to today..in fact its referring to yesterday's event.

As some of you readers know,i had my MCQ exam yesterday and i went to the exam hall with Noormie by cab.Haha i think Noormie shld do better for the exam than me lohh..i dun think i would get high at all..just hope can pass...whew even passing is like strange strange thought.Just hope for the best lohhh.

Afternoon i went to eat with Kenny,Ah ger and Kris...amazing right??But the crux of the serendipity is not that.....along the way when we were walking towards our makan place(we went to eat minced pork noodles), i saw a ger very familiar to me one and i stopped...she also stopped...but then it was ah ger who exclaimed,"Angeline!!!" Imagine my shock!!yeshhhh this ger is Angeline....the girl whom i liked in secondary school....and ah ger knows her??!!!Hahaha and what takes the cake is that Angeline said something similar to what she said to me the last time she saw me..."Ni Fa Fu Le" haha which translates to being You've grown Fat!! hahah but yeahh true larr i really fat liaoz.She still looks so sweet like last time :) Good memories larr...haha i reckon this is the first time i ever talk about my love life right?To be exact, there wasn't any relationship larrr cos it was onli a one sided relationship,me liking her and she not at all. :) she has better guy to be with that i think so.Turns out she was ah ger's old colleague worr...really amazing how small Singapore is..i think i should really go and buy 4D already liaoz.

Okaizzzz..enough about talking about the serendipity thing..i really just wanted to blog about it..haha yesh..i was pondering about clicking a new post dunno for the whole day already...just now after dinner then i finally decided that what has to be done has to be done :) So that is why i am here with a bloggie entry :)

Hahaha now turning to entertainment scene.....i think most of you would know who is Lin You Wei right?haha i think i posted lyrics to his song Xi Huan before?or did i?haha i also forgot liaozz....yapzz he is Lin You Wei formerly of WeWe. You all should remember him being clean shaven and very boy boy looking right?Hahaha i had a shock when i saw him on Kang Xi Lai Le lorrr..haha u all judge for urselves...

Haha HE HAS A MOUSTACHE!!!! Hahaha different look about him but is quite nice still loh :) I have always liked him...nice character and he handled his relationship with his gf quite well(his gf was kissing Ambrose Hsu in a car) whew....it was tough times for him but he got thru it ok. :) wish him luck in his acting man haha.I am not gay horrr! :)

Today i am listening to 侧田.His english name is Justin Lo i think and he just released his album last yr i think....and he's gonna hold a concert at the Hongkong Coliseum already!!!! That is something lorr...and he was recommended to me by Abe....and so i went to listen to this song of his named 好人.

Hehe both songs are talking about love one..and the lyrics are quite well written don't you agree? Haha the one in the cantonese one talking abt being a cat or dog n not being lover is better because being a pet is more cute and attractive haha :) referring to us guys lorr. which is true sometimes in the game of love larrr.

Haha talking about pets...i was at Tiong Bahru Plaza and i managed to get a DVD version of Quill!!one of my fave movies to date..and its a HK version...which means i get to hear Gigi Leung narrate!!! And i still like the cute doggie scenes....imagine puppy yawning...or else playing around with a squeaky toy :)

You guys might wonder why i was at Tiong Bahru Plaza eh??Uncle Sunny was going to go over to Caryn jie(Matthew kor's wifey which means is my cuzzie in law)'s ice cream shop.Haha need to do a bit of advertisement here...ka ki nang must help spread the word :) The name of the shop is The Ice Cream Gallery and is situated at 2 places i know of...Valley Point Shopping Centre at River Valley Road and at the mall opposite of Bedok Corner.The one i went to was the Valley Point one and boyyyyy i never been to Valley Point before worrrr.Ordered Belgian Chocolate and yummmmm...heavenly...zhen de shi taiiiiii hao chi le!!!!!!(ahhaa do i sound exaggerating?) But not kua zhang lor ;) its nice..i recommend to you all ah...haha no discount lar..but its worth it one.Uncle Sunny ta bor for me also sia...so my sista will have the kou fu to eat when she gets back from work :) Ohhh yahhh haha and i also saw Caryn jie's partner's son....just born not too long and he has a lot of hair!!!and HE HAS SIDEBURNS!!!Wah liew hahaha how cutez can that be man??I regret not taking pics ahhhh...haha you all should just imagine man.

Ohh my..haha i totally forgot that there was Chingay to watch on teevee...my uncle Sunny should have been watching that...cuzzie Reggie was able to drive Uncle Sunny's car back home!!Congrats to her siaa...its a small step in convincing Uncle to let her drive more in the future :)

Both still sound quite nice lohh and Pace Wu is in the MTV!! Haha Abe was interupted quite a lot during the singing because ah ger was filming us all at the same time..haha he say make him distracted so cannot perform to his potential.Kenny also sang a few songs and he even sang Matchbox Heaven by Panda Xiong...wat a song!! Ke Xi thing was i didn't go find a song where all of us can sing together and shout...i really forgot about it mannn.

Its Saturday already and MCQ exam is looming!!!Wish me luck horr people...i guess i will do a lot of reading laterz :) Tmr is Francis' birthday..happy birthday to him!!!I think might go play soccer with him ahh..see weather how loh.

I sure hope the Danish caricature thing is settled amicably instead of violence erupting..not that i feel the caricature is a small thing to the Muslims...but the ones who propagated violence should stop and think that tolerance and a more peaceful approach such as suing for damages or apologies thru religious means should be the more correct ways right?Must show to the world that peace is definitely attainable mahh.

In the meantime i am listening to 天才与白痴 over and over...haha i feel like a 白痴 at times..not a bad thing u all know?Cos it enables me to look at things very simply and its very relaxing also one :)

Heyhozz people!! Happy Chinese New Year to all who celebrate and hope those who do not celebrate also had a nice public holiday ahh.

You all must be wondering why i typed this posting so late hor??I wanted to type since last week already lohh..but my internet connection suddenly went off since Thursday night...turns out in the end it was my modem that was spoilt..yesh...my not more than 2 weeks old cable modem hahaha.

the starhub technician could only have an appt earliest by Monday in the afternoon and it was only at that time that i resumed my connection haha.And i only had the mood to blog now...so there and then :)

Its already nearing the end of the 3 day of the lunar new year...quite fast worr it seems...hope all the people who are going to study or work soon wun be too tired out ahh.

Dad opened stall since Monday already and whew busy morningz...heng afternoon still can get a wee bit of shuteye :) better than nothingz mahh...ohhh haha 2nd night of lunar new year we had dinner at uncle Sunny's home and woah we had a lucky draw....i only managed to get 2 dollars and the top prize of 50 dollars was won by Endru's gf!!!haha congrats to her siaa :)

Tmr will be a beeeg dinner again at the zhi char stall downstairs...i think at least shld have 3 tables of people makaning haha..dunno whether it will be very nice or not :) will have yu sheng again....although i not that partial towards raw fish...eeeeee.

Do i sound very incoherent??haha mebbe cos i am gonna grow older by one year soon..but then again...i dun feel old wor..i am so childish still lol...haha next time i will be all white hair and behave like a 5 year old for sure.

Friday ahh.....means i by Thursday i will start to countdown already....Thursday is Chuan Jie's birthday lohh...Jie ge my secondary school class mate..haha but too bad leh..he wun read my blog one...but still..Happy Birthday to you Jie ge!!!!

Hey hoz people :) yeapz you all never see wrongly..its moi again!!!

In case non chinese readers cannot read my title...its Huo x 8 lol.The Huo is a chinese surname and it is the surname of a great chinese folk hero.... 霍元甲(Huo Yuan Jia). Huo Yuan Jia was the founder of 精武门(Jing Wu Men). Jing Wu Men was some kind of martial arts association that allowed the people to practise martial arts and also help in strengthening the community bonds(this is what i think lar) During that time was also the time of the occupation of the 8 nations...this was something which most Chinese(at least PRC Chinese) really had a bad memory of. This was also a time when the Japanese especially were very vindicative towards the Chinese..labelling the Chinese as东亚病夫(loosely translated as The Sick Man Of East Asia)

霍元甲 is portrayed very well in the movie Fearless by Jet Li(in his last action movie) as he had already portrayed another folk hero 黄飞鸿(Wong Fei Hung) to a tee...i totally recommend people to go watch the show not just for Jet Li's slick moves but also for the lessons to be learnt from the movie.

Another great thing about the movie is that Jay Chou sang the title song 霍元甲!!!Now how cool is that???

The song is nice and describes Huo Yuan Jia well also :) and i quote from Bruce Lee from his movie 精武门........ "我们不是东亚病夫!!!!" Ohh side note here haha....Bruce Lee's role was that of 陈真(Chen Zhen), who was Huo Yuan Jia's disciple.

I also caught a bit of "Radio" today.Its a movie starring Cuba Gooding Jr and Ed Harris...man its such a heartwarming story and it reminds me of I Am Sam(which made me cry so much).

Heyloz bloggie world...how's everyone??!!

This is actually V2 of my post....because i was actually typing this entry until 3/4 done already and i went to install something...AND THE PC REBOOTED!!!!Haha so what was a long entry now might be shortened already.

The entry actually refers to me on Saturday.The premise is simple..i was gonna go donate some of my chinese comics(which consisted of Doraemon,Crayon Shinchan and some soccer comics) to the library. Two big plastic bags full of comics in fact.Ok i went to TRL in the afternoon lugging along those two plastic bags...i went in and the librarian told me TRL dun accept donations of comics and i was directed to Marine Parade library.Well i was like 'diao' inside my head and so i went and place the comics at a void deck nearby the library. I went to Challenger to go walk walk after that because i was actually waiting for a phonecall...imagine i saw Jean Long and her mum haha what a coincidence.After the walk at Challenger i decided to take 291 home since i still hadn't received the phonecall...i saw bus number 15 and something struck me....15 goes to Marine Parade!!!So i got down after only one stop from the interchange and i rushed over to pick up the 2 bags and took the bus to MPCL.You can only imagine the agony written on my face when i arrived at MPCL sweating like a pig only to be given the response," SOrry we do not accept donations anymore...maybe you can try the Salvation Army?"

Woah i was stunned for a moment there but no choice so i had to woefully lug the 2 bags out and i proceeded to walk out(still sweating profusely) and to the void deck of a flat nearby.I stood there for at least 1 minute to think about what i should do..i was seriously considering even taking a bus or a cab to Salvation Army at Changi!!!In the end my hungry stomach( i still had not taken lunch and it was around 3+pm already) made me look for alternatives nearby...luckily i managed to see a YWCA Children's Development Centre and i placed the books there.Sure hope the comics would be of usage to them...

I think people must be wondering what a twit i am because i could have just sold the comics away to the comics shops eh?Well no choice because my idea was to let people read the comics for free...if i sold away the comics,they would be used as money making tools..that's why i decided upon the libraries in the first place. and i didn't think of the Salvation Army in the first place cos i dun think a lot of people visit Salvation Army to buy stuff and if the comics dun get bought,there would be no revenue and then no money would be raised for the needy. Actually i should have found an orphanage and passed the comics over to the orphanage hor??*slaps myself* :) Mebbe next time i might do just that...

Ahh enough of the rants on the library liaozz...haha Sat was a day of coincidences...after settling the books down at the YWCA centre,i walked to a mama shop to buy a drink and then i walked to a bus stop.My plan at that moment was to just take any bus that came along(and if phonecall was still not forthcoming then i would travel to Geylang and makan MA LA steamboat!!) I was looking in the direction of the oncoming vehicles when i suddenly heard a welly welly sweet voice which was familiar...wahahhaa i turned around and guess who i saw???Prissy!!!!Haha my cute cuzzie was coming back from celebration of her fwens bday at Swensen's :) she told me that Oma was in Singapore so i went over to see her...too bad though cos Oma was asleep so i only helped Prissy to choose news articles for her newspaper cutting homework.And Kenny called me in the end haha...so we chose to meet at Katong Mall...and i met Kurt!!he was on his way to buy a Mazda 3...cooolz siaa.

After meeting Kenny we just walked around inside of Katong Mall first...we stopped at this boutique or something and saw this nice dress aka costume aka outfit and wanted to take a pic of it.while taking the pic though this surly man came out and said,"what do you think you're doing?" Kenny said,"don't have to worry lar" but guess what the man replied???? "You should be the one to worry..." WTF???How can the man be so presumptous and be so impolite??What if we were customers who were interested in his goods??Man that turned me off and so i just walked off with Kenny briskly..no use flaring up at this dude.

Dinner was up and we looked around for some grub....i saw this place named Stone Grill and the food looked quite delectable but we settled on a restaurant next to Stone Grill. i loiked it a lot haha cos 1.the place was quiet(not good for the owner though cos this means not much business,2.waitress was cute,3.layout was comfortable,4.haha the cups very cool.
I ordered a drink named Love Cocktail and au contraire....it wasn't alcoholic!!!Haha its actually a fruit tea...i recommend it to people....i mean the shop :) I dunno the name of the place but its opposite Katong Mall so shouldn't be too difficult to find. Ohh there's a chill out lounge and bar upstairs at 2nd storey also i think :)

Haha wondering why the title is like this today??I rarely blog about my favourite soccer team mahh and today on a spur of the moment,i decide to be a Magpie and talk about Newcastle United Football Club!!!!

The title is like this because i just cannot endure Newcastle's current manager Graeme Souness anymore.Yesh its true that Newcastle seems to have kena black cat luck recently that their players seem to be getting injured with regularity...but that cannot be used as a constant excuse by him for the team keeping on having lousy results.So when the team loses its due to injuries and when the team wins its due to HIS tactical astuteness?He doesn't even go to the reserve games to see which reserve players should go into the first team to substitute the injured players and he doesn't even attend post match interviews...nor does he say anything to the local press.... :(

That's the reason why i hope either a Geordie or some better manager can take over soon....i dun mind them losing..but losing due to him is something that is sad....cos at least under a Geordie you noe that there would be some kind of spiritual bond...haha i noe i am not a Geordie but i am speaking as a Newcastle fan mahh :)

Okaizzz..enough of my rant liaoz :) haha ranting too much also not good lar...just wanted to say my bit...kudos to Souness but i just don't want him around any longer.

Haha and Jocie Kwok's album has come out already...i went to download to listen first but am gonna go buy the album...haha Hai Sians do support her ahhh.The first track in her album is quite nice although its a 'kou shui ge' meaning a rendition of an old song :) the song name is 爱是你眼里的一首情歌

haha stupid title of mine lar...i wish only..i still got 5 high keys and 3 low keys until i ROD.In case some of you don't know what those keys are..haha they are referring to the amount of ICT(In Camp Training) that i would have to attend. Still got quite some time to go lorr.I just finished one high key ICT on Friday mahh.Haha i know those guys who are reading my blog must be saying...wahhh you storeman mahhh why so worried??True also lar..storemen just have to take charge of the store..count store and issue store equipment...haha but if got onli a few storemen then its quite tough larr..back breaking stuff whew.and i think i nearly became a radioactive rabbit..hahaha no lar seriously cos the place was so dusty and i think it was tough on my nose..sneezed quite a fair bit and luckily it did not develop to a sore throat and then to a fever like my previous ICT.

So how have things been for all of you people??its already mid January and woah 2006 is gonna proceed into Febuary soon....CNY soon also siaa.have all of you gone to get your CNY clothes yet??i dun think i would be getting any..but i guess cos i wun be visiting a lot of places, the non existence of new clothes don't matter :)

A lot of Jan and Feb babies that i know of :) and birthdays are coming fast like wildfire...happy birthday to alllllllll da people i know...hehe must name a few...my two cuzzies....Sharon and Regina...Jeanne...Melissa...and also got Fiona..haha...guys got Hisyam,Khalid and Mimi hahah Happy Birthday to allll of you!!!Although i dunno which of all those people got read this blog hahahaha.

The weather had been very rainy for the time that i had been in ICT but now after ICT the weather seems so awfully hot.Haha seems like the weather is playing games with me lohh...make me kena the rain during the time i was in camp and now not letting me enjoy the cool weather by making it be so hot and sunny now.
